Welcome to the GARDEN CLUB 2020 💚!
To put it simply:
Garden club offers the opportunity to come to Ponderosa and work in the garden, approximately 5 hours per day, in exchange for simple accommodation and delicious food. Your garden fairy hosts will be on the ground to guide you.
To put it broadly:
Garden club is a subterranean umbrella of sorts. It includes practical skill-building workshops, artistic research models and practices, long-term conversations concerning the Ponderosa land and region, and evolving networks with local and international projects and communities.
What is Garden club?
What is a club with permeable invisible boundaries? An open-air club composed of and exposed to the elements? The garden is already a club of sorts, an ensemble, a world of many worlds. The garden is a place where lifeforms gather. Gardens are the original anarchists and the ultimate organizers.
Why should I subscribe for the garden club newsletters today?
Because this specified branch of the general Ponderosa newsletter is for those who want to stay tuned. These newsletters are cyber-windows into the garden and its partners; the kitchen, the studio, the compost toilet, and more. This will inform you about different ways to be here and offer traces from live happenings. This is a way to share the 'here' with you out 'there' through the ongoing cycles of growth and decay.
If you would like to continue receiving garden club newsletters: subscribe here! Please feel free to pass the word along to others who you think may be interested. If you are interested in coming to Ponderosa through garden club: Contact us with 'garden club' in the subject.
Garden Club Is an ongoing series of events at Ponderosa, organised and facilitated by Shelley Etkin, Stephanie Maher, and Leonardo Cocucci, which will run throughout 2020.
