Ponderosa Artist Residencies
Ponderosa is the perfect place for all writers, performers, and artists who would like to research, rehearse, and refine their work. Come and settle in at Ponderosa for a while, with all the facilities that the space offers, and work on your artistic projects.
Ponderosa is not just an amazing space to come and do concentrated work — it is also now entirely winterized! Heated studios, a co-working space with proper wi-fi, cosy rooms, cats on your lap, the living library, the warm fire in the kitchen — all await you.
Residencies are available year-round, but are best-suited to the periods of September to November, and February to May. (Countryside living is driven by the seasons — we take a break in December and January, and the summer is the busiest and fullest time.)
We offer the possibility to use your residency time to develop your work, to share and engage with the space, to compose, write, perform, teach, or exchange and present artistic ideas, and to work around any and all socio-political inquires arising from art and art-making.
Those who have been here before will have an idea about how the place is — it is best-suited to artists who are comfortable with coexisting with other activities and using our spaces communally. During residencies, the housing available is provided at a reduced rate, and the use of the studios is FREE OF CHARGE.
Residencies are available for individuals or for groups.
