pOnderosa AIR/ Artist in Residencies / Winter Residency
…for all writers, performers and artists who would like to explore the Stolzenhagen region and what the space pOnderosa has to offer, and for all visiting artists wishing to propose independent studies, laboratories, workshops, and studio practices…pOnderosa is now WINTERIZED! Heated studios, the Living Library, our new co-working office space & our sweet cozy guest house are waiting for you.
Countryside living is driven by the seasons, thus with the performance-centric period of summer now over, we at pOnderosa invite you to consider bringing your personal work here, the work you would like to design, develop or rehearse.
Thus, we at pOnderosa invite you to use this special time to share and engage with the space, to compose, write, perform, teach, or exchange and present ideas around the arts, and around any and all socio-political inquires around art and art-making.
Year round residencies are possible but we encourage artists to come from September – May (we take a break in December and January) before the high festival season. We select residency slots for artists who are willing to coexist and share our spaces communally. We provide a reduced price for the housing and the studios free of charge.
Applying for a residency is possible as an individual or with a group.

Studio time will be scheduled each week by the visting residents. Since studios are shared by all artists-in-residence, collective effort is required to organize daily living tasks and to keep working and living environments clean, comfortable, and inviting. Some organized allied community activities are proposed! This includes countryside activities around gardening, building, and general all-around help. Individual effort not only helps develop collaborative living, helps residency prices remain affordable.
To apply please send a small description of your project, the time period and number of people attending.
If you do not receive a residency, do ask us about winter rentals or last minute booking rates for the pOnderosa Seminar & Guest house.
