Ponderosa e.V. is a non-profit organization consisting of 6 active members and 116 supporting members, whose primary purpose is to create an international meeting space in the countryside outside of Berlin. We offer and create artist's residencies, studio rentals, workshops, festivals, contact jams, performance venues and P.O.R.C.H. Summer School for aspiring professionals. Our organization plans throughout the year to make the arts available by developing economic and sustainable financial planning, grant writing, do it yourself- and creative building renovations, and by offering work exchange and accessible community events.
Ponderosa e.V. belongs to the larger co-operative of Gut-Stolzenhagen.
We come from varied and wide-ranging backgrounds, but share a common experience of embracing the arts, living on an old farm that has become a self-sufficient building community.
Ponderosa e.V. includes a team of artists, teachers, builders, gardeners, performers, cultural managers, producers and cultural hosts who depend on the form of improvisation to help create structures, solutions and to encourage the curation of events that inspire creativity and fearless exploration.
Ponderosa e.V. hopes to bridge the gap between the ages and borders that exist in the surrounding villages; from young people to old people, from Poland to Germany and integrating the International community.
The encompassing goal is to continue to develop cultural events in the Brandenburg area, offering ideas and events that develop a sense of place in the region and welcome locals to join an experience that is extraordinary, original, inviting and stimulating.
